Camargo is a genetic masterpiece and has proven himself in the sport at the highest level. This son of the Olympic stallion Canturo is bred out of the brilliant For Pleasure daughter Fit For Fun. Under the saddle of the Philippaerts brothers and Luciana Diniz, Camargo also jumped at the highest level. With the Portuguese Luciana Diniz, Camargo won the Grand Prix of Eschweiler and also won a five-star 1.60m class in Calgary, Spruce Meadows. Camargo also achieved podium places at prestigious competitions such as CHIO Aachen, Liège and Chantilly – both under Diniz and Olivier Philippaerts. Another great achievement was the fourth place in the Global Champions Tour of Shanghai.
Sire Canturo jumped under Brazilian Bernardo Alves at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 and stood out because of his unlimited power and fantastic way of jumping. In breeding, Canturo produced many Grand Prix show jumpers, such as Good Luck (Cian O’Connor), Zypria S (Willem Greve), Cristy (Marcus Ehning) and Can Ya Makan (Shane Breen). Camargo’s dam Fit For Fun was even more successful in the sport. Under Luciana Diniz, Fit For Fun was one of the very best show jumpers in the world for many years. With her unprecedented attitude and brilliant reflexes, Fit For Fun won the five-star Grand Prix of Rotterdam, Doha, Sankt Gallen, Al Rayyan and Basel. In addition, she finished second in the Rolex Grand Prix of Spruce Meadows in 2017 and in the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen in both 2017 and 2018. Furthermore, Fit For Fun participated in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the World Cup Final in Lyon in 2014 and the European Championships in Aachen and Gothenburg.
In addition to the top performances of mother Fit For Fun, there is more sport from the direct family of Camargo. For example, Fit For Fun’s full brother Flight of Ikarus also jumped at 1.60m level under Janne-Friederike Meyer and Justine Tebbel and half-brother Darco For Fun Z was approved at OS and Zangersheide.
With his two Olympic parents and own performances at the highest level, Camargo seems to have everything in house to grow into a valuable stallion in breeding. From a small number of coverings, Camargo has already produced a number of international show jumping horses and his young offspring seem very promising
