In 2021 Henk Nijhof senior bought the very interestingly bred colt ‘Vino for Fun’ with his grandson Cameron from his breeder Ralf Jünger. In 2023, Joris de Brabander became co-owner and he was approved for BWP in 2024.

Vino for Fun is a super star in the making with unique genes. Sire Verdi needs little introduction. For just under ten years, this bay son of Quidam de Revel was active at the very highest level under Maikel van der Vleuten. Verdi participated in more than 11 international championships and earned a silver medal at the London Olympics with Team NL in 2012. Vino For Fun’s dam Fit For Fun is the highly successful Grand Prix mare, who under Luciana Diniz twice placed second in the prestigious Aachen Grand Prix. Grandmother Fetzi (by Fabriano) not only produced Fit For Fun, but also her full brother, the 1.50m horse Flight of Ikarus ridden by Kai Schafer and meanwhile serves breeding in Argentina. Great-grandmother Esta is a daughter of the Hanoverian hallmark stallion Escudo I. All of these mares, by the way, were awarded the title Staatsprämienstute in Hannover. Fit for Fun already produced the Grand Prix Jumper and approved stallion Camargo.
