UP VAN ‘T PARADIJS

Team Nijhof’s latest addition for the 2023 breeding season is the 3-year-old Up van ‘t Paradijs. This very talented son of O’Neill van ‘t Eigenlo – currently known as Minute Man – was purchased in cooperation with Willem Greve. The top Dutch rider foresees a bright future for Up van ‘t Paradijs; “Horses like this will not be on the market anymore when they are older,” Greve emphasized after the purchase. At the BWP Stallion Show, Up van ‘t Paradijs stood out and was crowned the vice champion. Both in free jumping and under saddle he stood out for his light-footedness, balance, great push from the floor and athletic ability.

Up van ‘t Paradijs is a son of O’Neill van ‘t Eigenlo, who combines the valuable genes of Vigo d’Arsouilles and Montender. Under the name Minute Man, O’Neill is now competing in sport with Willem Greve. On the dam’s side, Up van ‘t Paradijs has an excellently built up pedigree; grandsire Hunter’s Scendro brings in quality and jumping technique, great-grandsire Elvis ter Putte stands for scope and power and then we find the extreme reflexes of Marius Claudius. Great-granddam Darcotique van ‘t Meulenhof herself jumped up to 1.50m-level in sport and is the full sister of the valuable sire Denzel van ‘t Meulenhof. His dam Narcotique de Muze IV also produced the CSI5* Grand Prix showjumper Jenson van ‘t Meulenhof ridden by Niels Bruynseels, the 1.50m showjumper Iron Lady van ‘t Meulenhof and a long list of other international showjumping talents. Finally, the pedigree of Up van ‘t Paradijs goes back to Qerly Chin, the founder of perhaps the most successful damline in the world. From this outstanding lineage, Team Nijhof previously secured the breeding stallions I’m Special de Muze and Denzel van ‘t Meulenhof.
